Guardian Life in association with Channel I has organized a budget discussion program titled “Guardian Life Budget Bisleshon” on Bangladesh’s economic recovery and domestic investment in the Covid-19 situation. The show has started airing on Channel I and its Facebook page from 11th June and will continue till 16th June, 2020 (every day at 5:30 / 6:00 pm).
Since the beginning of 2020, there have been doubts whether it would be possible to maintain the socio-economic progress achieved in the last few years due to COVID-19 pandemic. Now, we have already started facing the impacts of Covid-19 as on economic growth, job losses and increase in poverty.
To address the crisis Bangladesh government has already taken several necessary steps and soon the government will also be declaring budget for the next fiscal year (2020-2021) in June 2020 amid COVID-19 pandemic.
However, to discuss the budget of Bangladesh during COVID-19 Pandemic this program has been designed which comprises of prominent economists, professionals of the financial institution and others.
