A lot of small businesses are suffering from COVID-19. They are struggling to make their ends meet but are not willing to ask for help. ShopUp and Obhizatrk foundation have partnered up for Project Shokkhom, where they are working to raise funds for at least 1,000 SMEs who have potential but require support to survive during this pandemic.

ShopUp has solved the capital problems of a huge number of small entrepreneurs, who play an important role in our economy and Obhizatrik foundation, established in 2010, has already provided seed capital in the form of grants to 492 entrepreneurs in the past 2 years, under Project Shokkhom.

This year, the two organizations have been working together for Project Shokkhom on a much bigger scale. With the money raised for the entrepreneurs, they will be providing for a steady source of income for them, which ensures long term financial security, instead of giving temporary donations. A lot of SMEs are going through a difficult time not only conducting business but also supporting their families. ShopUp and Obhizatrik want to support them during this difficult time which will also help them in the future and ensure the employment of many other people. ICE Business Times, Samakal & Dhaka Tribune are the media partners of this initiative.
