Born with the mission to provide development opportunities that empower young people to create positive change – JCI has had a rich history of providing essential development interventions to the youth, concerning critical matters that influence the society. This year JCI Bangladesh is organizing “Be the Change: Redefining the Stereotypes”, A One Day Symposium, as an extrapolation of its mission. This symposium intends to influence and enlighten young minds, by exploring the struggles of stereotypes and celebrating the stories of breaking free, so that they themselves can one day become the change that redefines stereotypes.
The Bangladeshi youth are playing a crucial role in advancing the socio-economic status of our country. They are taking new challenges and are being able to come up with new ideas and solutions that are making our lives easier. However, there are still some stereotypical ideologies that need to be redefined to ensure that today’s young generation are motivated and inspired to do new things, bring about new changes and contribute towards the betterment of our society.
Simultaneously, there are some trailblazers who have redefined stereotypes. They have mastered the grit to believe in a better world despite adversities. Challenging the status quo has been the defining characteristics of their lives.
JCI Bangladesh wants to empower the youth, through exposure to the unique experiences of these trailblazers, so that one may influence positive change in the society.
