Kaizen CRS is a market research firm that approach research from the perspective of consultancy and over the years they have provided solutions to corporate houses as well as development agencies. One of the core agendas of the firm is to contribute to the knowledge economy of Bangladesh and in order to realize that ambition Kaizen CRS designed workshops, which aim to enhance knowledge of stakeholders specific to a particular industry. The first edition of the workshop was designed for professionals in digital marketing, Digital 360: Reaching out to Netizens. The workshop was held on the 8th of October at a fivestar hotel in Dhaka. Kaizen CRS invited two digital marketing professionals from Analyzen, the first ever digital marketing agency in Bangladesh. These two resource persons – Risalat Siddique and Ridwan Hafiz elaborated on the numerous features of Digital Marketing for the attendees.

The philosophy behind the workshop was to prepare digital marketers to develop a better understanding of netizens who are hooked to the Internet either through smartphones, tablets or through laptops and PCs. The online places where these netizens are present are targeted by marketers. Such places are web mails, Google Search, Facebook and websites of news portals etc. Mastering the art of promoting your business on these places is Digital Marketing.
The buzz around digital marketing is already quite hectic, even though it is still a relatively new concept in Bangladesh. Very little has been talked about regarding how to make the best use of digital platforms for better returns on investments. Therefore this workshop aimed to speak about how brands, both high involvement as well as low involvement, can plan digital marketing campaigns to make the most effective use of their investment in digital mediums.

The Digital 360 Workshop covered all the practical aspects of working in digital marketing and its various platforms. The workshop also discussed how to handle a digital marketing team or agency effectively and understand how budgeting is done for marketing campaigns.
Risalat Siddique, a professional with 10 years of experience in Research, Creative Communication, Digital Brand and Marketing Strategy talked about the importance of data and how insights should be an integral part of the digital marketing campaign. Ridwan Hafiz, a founding director of Analyzen talked about how to develop campaigns and how to effectively utilize different digital platforms.
The interactive session allowed professionals to not only learn about digital marketing but also helped them gained knowledge on how to create integrated digital marketing plans and set realistic goals to achieve optimum results. However, this was not hands-on training. The event was attended by sales, marketing, PR, advertising professionals and business owners who wished to understand how digital marketing can help in growing their businesses.
