In a conversation, the people behind StickerDriver elaborate on their journey and explain how they turned an obscure idea into the most promising Out-of-home (OOH) and Digital-out-of-home (DOOH) transit advertising platform in the country
How did the idea of StickerDriver begin to materialise into a proper business concept? What were the main challenges at the initial stages?
The idea first came to our mind while visiting an event back in 2017. We saw a wrapped car promoting a brand in exchange for money and realized this can be a win-win endeavour for any brand and car owner. That’s how it all began; we wanted to build a platform to bring brands and car owners for mutual benefit. Although this is not an entirely new idea, the benefit of having a mobile app-based tracking system to track and monitor the wrapped cars and get real-time analytics gave StickerDriver the edge to set itself apart in the market.
Initially, there were two specific challenges. It took more than a year to convince brands to invest money in branding vehicles. As it is an unconventional approach to branding, they took some time to assess its potential. Also, convincing vehicle owners to put stickers on their cars was very challenging. However, now we currently have 3500+ vehicles registered in Dhaka, Chittagong and Sylhet ready to wrap ads.
As the world becomes increasingly digitised, how do OOH and DOOH transit advertisements provide the edge to companies in terms of customer engagement and acquisition?
One of the most significant advantages of digital campaigns is the availability of real-time data for brands to assess their impact and efficiency. However, that does not mean OOH and DOOH does not yield any benefits for the brands. StickerDriver ensures the use of real-time analytics through cutting edge technology to provide proper monitoring and tracking of outdoor ads. We have now enabled brands to measure the success and ROI of the campaigns, and the results speak for themselves.

A vehicle owner can earn from1500 BDT per month to 5000 BDT per month depending on the car model, placement of advertisement and how they are following our terms and conditions. StickerDriver has three packages for outside car ads, including Simple Wrap, Back Glass Wrap, Partial Wrap, Doors Wrap and Advance Wrap, Doors and Back Glass Wrap.
StickerDriver has three packages for Inside car ads, including InCar Branding, Seat Branding, InCar Activation, Seat Branding with Customisation and InCar Retail, Product selling by Driver to passengers.
Retail and Affiliate Sales
Through this package, drivers will generate leads for advertisers.
How is StickerDriver contributing to the aggregate Bangladesh economy?
StickerDriver has created extra earning opportunities for rental car owners that bring significant change to their daily lives. At the same time, StickerDriver has made an additional VAT/TAX revenue source for the government by placing ads on vehicles. As for placing ads on a private vehicle, every car must pay proper revenue tax and get a certificate from the authorities. Most importantly, StickerDriver has created more than 2000 job and earning opportunities both directly and indirectly in Dhaka, Chittagong and Sylhet.
StickerDriver has had an impressive beginning and appears to be among the promising startups in the country. How do you plan on expanding it over the next five years?
StickerDriver will continue to flourish as a platform for OOH and DOOH campaigns. We will continue to offer innovative services like In-Car Seat Branding and DOOH infotainment ads inside the vehicles. In five years, we envision expanding to provide greater variation of OOH and DOOH ads inventories like cars, buses, billboards etc., to place ads.
