The entertainment provider, HBO confirms the rumors of it being hacked recently.

A recent report by Entertainment Weekly revealed the company’s confession of the loss of propriety information followed by a cyber happening. “ Protecting the data we hold is one of our topmost priorities at HBO. Hence, we have already begun investigating and are working with the law enforcers and outside security firms to establish a better cyber security system,” claimed the network to EW.

According to the report, the hackers have claimed to sweep about 1.5 terabytes of information from the channel’s list of upcoming episodes of series like the “Ballers,” and “Room 104.” However, the discovery of a script from the unaired fourth episode of “Game of Thrones,” making it to the hackers list will be one of the big findings.

The news spread out when a circle of reporters received an email about hacking from an anonymous source. The email read,”Hi to all mankind. The greatest leak of cyber space era is happening. What’s its name? Oh, I forget to tell. It’s HBO and Game of Thrones……!!!!!! You are lucky to be the first pioneers to witness and download the leak. Enjoy it & spread the words. Whoever spreads well, we will have an interview with him. HBO is falling.”

The entertainment industry has previously experienced similar cases of hacking which includes the stealing of episode five of “Orange is the new black” from Netflix in April and Sony’s one in 2014 which continues to be at the top of the list. Whereas, on a brighter note Netflix’s studio head Bob Iger recently declared a flying rumor of the hacker’s stealing Disney’s “Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales,” to be untrue.

With HBO being hush about the details of the contents stolen, the news about the leaking of the “Game of Thrones” episode still remains a mystery.
