BANKING donated blankets in favor of the
Responsibility (CSR), Bank Asia
Prime Minister Relief Fund for the
underprivileged people of the
country. Romana Rouf Chowdhury,
Director of Bank Asia, handed over a
sample blanket to Dr. Ahmad
Kaikaus, Prime Minister’s Principal
Secretary, in a program at Prime
Minister’s Office on 28 October
2020. The honorable Prime Minister
joined the program through video
conference.

Eastern Bank Ltd. (EBL) has won three awards for its
performance in the product innovation and card
business from VISA. EBL won the awards in three
categories - Excellence in Product Innovation,
Excellence in E-commerce Acquiring Business, and
Excellence in Cross-Border Business for the year
2019-2020 from VISA. The award ceremony was
held through an online Webinar program on
Thursday, 15 October 2020.

The board of bKash Ltd, the
largest Mobile Financial
Service Provider in the
country, has re-elected
Shameran Abed as Chairman
for a second term at a
meeting held on Tuesday, 27
October 2020. Abed was
earlier elected as Chairman
in November 2015 for a term
of 5 years. Abed is a Senior
Director at BRAC and also sits
on the boards of several
companies including BRAC
Bank Ltd.

Dhaka Bank Limited donated
blankets to Prime Minister's Relief
Fund with an aim to help the cold
stricken poor and distressed
communities of the country on 28
October 2020 at Prime Minister's
Office. Ahmad Kaikaus, Principal
Secretary of the Prime Minister's
Office received the donation on
behalf of the honorable Prime
Minister. The honorable Prime
Minister Sheikh Hasina also
graced the occasion virtually from
her official residence Gono
Bhaban.
