BRAC, H&M Foundation and The Asia
Foundation launched the Global
Innovation Challenge inviting RMG-based
solutions on 17 November 2021. The
pilot project was undertaken to find
solutions for safeguarding the women in
RMG in Bangladesh and to increase the
competitiveness of factories. Six winners
are to receive a fund up to $30,000 and
incubation support for pilot
implementation.
In January 2022, the year of Dr. Fritz Faulhaber GmbH
& Co. KG’s 75th anniversary, the drive specialist will get
a new management structure. Due to retirement, the
previous managing directors, Dr. Thomas Bertolini and
Gert Frech-Walter, will be handing over the reins to the
new five-person management team around Karl
Faulhaber. As part of the changeover the management
team was expanded. In addition to Karl Faulhaber
(Sales, Marketing), Hubert Renner (Order Management),
Markus Dietz (Finance, Controlling), Lutz Braun (HR,
Legal) and Dr. Udo Haberland (R&D, Innovation) will
also be entrusted with the management of the family
business.
IDLC Finance Limited received the Fintech Innovation
Award for Financial Inclusion at the Bangladesh Fintech
Award 2021 on 28 November 2021 for introducing the
country’s first Monthly Savings Service through MFS
Platform. Due to this initiative of IDLC Finance, bKash
customers can now open monthly savings anytime from
anywhere, following a few simple steps. Users can
deposit savings installments from bKash app on the
scheduled date of each month and after the savings
scheme is matured, customers will receive the money
including profits in their bKash account. This new service
is expected to inspire people from all walks of life to
save money and it will make the savings process easier,
safer, more profitable, and affordable.
HungryNaki announced the ‘HungryNaki 11.11
Feast’ campaign for food lovers with exciting offers.
The campaign started on 10 November 2021 and
continued till 24 November 2021. Customers
ordered food and enjoyed up to 50 percent
discounts on the menu of different restaurants in
different zones and times (from November 10-24).
The leading food tech company also came up with
Taka 11 delivery fee (from November 10-16) and
Taka 15 delivery fee (from November 17-24).
Besides, HungryNaki also announced double taka
voucher offers where people can buy products using
the vouchers during the campaign period.
