AB Bank inaugurated Online A-Challan service with

AB Internet Banking (AB Direct), an initiative of the
Ministry of Finance and Bangladesh Bank. Under
this arrangement income tax, passport fees and
Internet Banking. This service was inaugurated by
Tarique Afzal, President and Managing Director of
AB Bank Limited on 17 November 2021. A.K.M.
Mukhlesur Rahman, Senior Functional Consultant,
Md. Zobayer Ahamed, Junior Consultant Executive
of the Ministry of Finance, Md. Rafiqul Islam, Md.
Tariqul Islam, Joint Directors and Muhammad Din
Islam, Assistant Director General of Bangladesh
Bank along with other senior officials of the bank
were also present on the occasion.

Bank Asia arranged 22nd Anniversary Day Celebration
Program in honor of its Benefactors and Well-wishers on 27
November 2021 at the Conference Hall of Bank Asia Tower
in Kawran Bazar. Rumee A Hossain, Chairman of the Bank’s
Board Executive Committee inaugurated the program by
cutting cake with the honorable guests as the chief guest.
Ex-Chairman Anisur Rahman Sinha, Director Enam
Chowdhury, Ex-Director Moshiur Rahman, Ex-Managing
Director Syed Anisul Huq, President and Managing Director
Md. Arfan Ali were present at the program. Director Major
General Mohammad Matiur Rahman (retd.), Ashraful Haq
Chowdhury, Helal Ahmed Chowdhury and Nafees Khundker
joined the program virtually. Deputy Managing Directors
along with Divisional Heads were present at the program,
and Branch Managers joined the program virtually.
BRAC Bank cricket team has emerged as the champion in the
Corporate Amateur Cricket Association (CACA) T-20
Tournament on 1 November 2021. It is BRAC Bank's maiden
trophy of the championship involving the teams from the
corporate Bangladesh. In the final at BKSP playground, BRAC
Bank amassed 163 for 5 wickets in stipulated 20 overs with
Captain Nazmul Arif Pallab hitting 69 in 46 balls and Ferose
Mahmud 55 runs in 44 balls. In reply, Cadets XI managed to
score 130 all out handing down a 33-run victory to BRAC
Bank. BRAC Bank’s Captain Nazmul Arif Pallab clinched the
Man of the Match award for his dashing 69 runs. In the run-up
to the tournament final, BRAC Bank outplayed Confidence
Group, CACA All Stars, Grameenphone and Cadets XI in the
group matches. As a values-based organization, BRAC Bank
always promotes sports and cultural programmes as a means
of cordiality and friendship in corporate world.

City Bank donated BDT 50 lacs as contribution towards
the technological improvement of DB of Dhaka
Metropolitan Police (DMP) on 24 November 2021. Aziz
Al Kaisar, Chairman of the bank handed over the
cheque to Md. Shafiqul Islam, BPM (Bar), Police
Commissioner of DMP. Mashrur Arefin, MD & CEO,
Sheikh Mohammad Maroof, AMD, Md. Mahbubur
Rahman, DMD & CFO of City Bank, Mir Rezaul Alam,
Additional Police Commissioner (Administration),
Krishna Pod Roy, Additional Police Commissioner
(Crime and Operation), Dr. AFM Masum Rabbani,
Additional Police Commissioner (Logistics, Finance and
Procurement), A K M Hafiz Akter, Additional Police
Commissioner (DB), Md. Mahbub Alam, Joint Police
Commissioner (DB) of DMP and senior officials from
both the organizations were present during the cheque
handover ceremony.
