A lot of patients prefer overseas medical treatments. Some prefer Woodlands Hospital in Kolkata, some Bumrungrad Hospital in Bangkok and the ones who really want obey quality, they go to Mount Elizabeth Hospital in Singapore. One of the major components of Parkway Hospitals Singapore, MouE is part of the Parkway Hospitals quartet, consisting of Mount Elizabeth Orchard, Mount Elizabeth Novena, Parkway East and Gleneagles Hospital.

Chief Marketing Officer, Parkway Pantai
In a recent press meet, two top officials from Parkway Pantai – Alvin Neo, Chief Marketing Officer, Parkway Pantai and Dr. Noel Yeo, Assistant Vice President,. Operations at Mount Elizabeth — who visited Dhaka talked about their success story. ‘Our Dhaka and Chittagong offices are to help Bangladeshi patients in all matters,’ said Alvin Neo. ‘They ensure all the arrangements required in the process of receiving treatment from our hospitals. It is done through a four step guide – firstly patient information being provided, then finding the right doctor for them, making appointments and then work with them in Singapore to ensure quality treatment. Patients choose us in Singapore given our extensive 1300+ senior doctors, 70% of whom have sub-specialisations. The medical technology that we use is state of the art (i.e – PET-MRI, robotic surgery, etc,) something which is hardly found elsewhere.
He also aired optimism about a Bangladeshi healthcare infrastructure boom. ‘Plenty of hospitals here are providing adequate services,’ Alvin added, ‘but as with the challenges of any developing country’s medical infrastructure, there are still some things which are not available here. Additionally the queues to getting to a doctor are quite long and tedious. That is why patients come to us for better care. Our awards are not only testaments of our medical efficiency, but also for our service deliveries.’
Dr. Noel Yeo
Assistant Vice President, Mount Elizabeth Orchard
‘Our service does not end with treatment in Singapore,’ Dr. Noel Yeo surmised. ‘Once they return to Bangladesh, we have our affiliate hospital look after their post-treatment situation, in Dhaka which is United Hospital. People come to us as we provide value for their money. They may return to Bangladesh, but we still maintain contact with them online, through email, social media and other mediums.’ There have been challenges as of late, in view of the advertising laws regarding medical promotion in Bangladesh, and visa non-issuance. ‘But we are trying to bridge that gap and coordinate between the two country’s foreign missions, so that the hassles are eased and communication is smooth.’ Here is hoping that Mount Elizabeth can tap the entire overseas-going patients from Bangladesh.
