Month-long Webinar Series on InsurTech being arranged by Green Delta Insurance Company and Ice Business Times from Oct. 17 – Nov. 7, 2020

While InsurTech has gained popularity globally, it’s still an alien concept in Bangladesh. With a view to make the concept of InsurTech familiar and to unravel the scopes for instilling its foundation in Bangladesh, Green Delta Insurance Company and ICE Business Times are organizing a signature webinar series of 4 episodes titled “Instituting InsurTech in Bangladesh” in association with Shurokkha (an online insurance portal) and with support of iDEA project of ICT division and BASIS (Bangladesh Association of Software & Information Services).

The 4 episodes of the month-long webinar series will be held on every Saturday at 7:30 pm, starting from October 17, 2020, to November 7, 2020. These webinars will be broadcasted live on the official Facebook pages of Ice Business Times and Green Delta Insurance Company. The topics and schedule of the episodes are as follows:

InsurTech: Concepts and analysis of demand and supply-side prospects in Bangladesh

  • Webinar #2 (Oct. 24, 2020)

InsurTech: Key legal, regulatory and institutional readiness and challenges

InsurTech: Reforms required for the way forward in Bangladesh

  • Webinar #4 (Nov. 7, 2020)

Fueling InsurTech in Bangladesh through Youth & Startup Platform

Md. Moniruzzaman Khan, the Head of Digital Business and Brand Communication of Green Delta Insurance Company (GDIC) said,“With industry experts of both insurance and IT industries as participants, we aim to unravel the prospects, challenges, required policy reforms and the way forward for instituting InsurTech in Bangladesh through the month-long Webinar Series, featuring 4 episodes on 4 contextual topics related to InsurTech.”
