LEVERAGING THE GLOBAL TRIBE FOR IMPACTING YOUNG GLOBAL LEADERS

Global Chamber Dhaka, in collaboration with Movementum Consultancy and Facilitation Group (MCFG), University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh Digital Marketing Club, The Financial Express and ICE Business Times, virtually organised a globinar under its signature Young Global Leader initiative titled ‘Leveraging the Global Tribe for Greater Impact’ on 9th February 2022. This globinar was conceived to connect global leaders and create opportunities to learn about present global market trends. Over 200 participants joined this online knowledge-sharing event.

 

 

Furthermore, this globinar was designed for global youths who wanted to improve their careers across boundaries and succeed in life. The discussion was about the needs and interest fields of the young global leaders.
The event host, Maimun Mustafa, Executive Director, Global Chamber Dhaka and CEO of MCFG, mentioned, “It’s all of us who believe that we can work across borders and be better business; engaged in activities, alongside each other.”
The second speaker, Phil Disant, Executive Director at the Global Chamber, Joinville, SC (Brazil), shared the current economic condition of Brazil’s economy and the contribution of youth towards the economy. He mentioned, “We have a lot of young people involved, and we want to take advantage of this and show them and help them as much as possible.” He also said, “Global Chamber Southern Brazil is a great support system to the development opportunities of young leaders.”

 

Similar opportunities are available for the next generation of leaders and young people to accomplish greater levels, innovate effectively, communicate internationally, and succeed in the future interconnected global corporate ecosystem.

 

The third speaker, Rubby Golo, Executive Director at Global Chamber Accra Ghana, Founder and CEO at Global Trade Consult, advised the youth to develop and refine their skill and gain work experience. She helps youth to create a professional network and build a strong resume. She also encouraged startups to repair their business plan and secure good references and recommendations.
The next speaker was Tal Zilberberg, Executive Director, Global Chamber Tel Aviv, Co-Owner and CEO at GreenBook USA Inc. He mentioned, “We can connect to different parts of the world with local companies that are making startups and creating connections. So, this is easy for young people to come from other countries.” He also added, “We are a young Metro at Global Chamber, but we have very strong and dedicated people who’re well connected.”
Delivering next was Katie Keith, Executive Director, Global Chamber London and Head of Partnerships of Currency UK said, “Make sure you connect, be proactive and ask for help.” She added regarding networking, “Make sure that you’re connecting via LinkedIn.”
Next up was Arif Ahmed, the Co-Founder and Managing Director of Light over Light & Co Ltd, who holds several positions in different organisations. He mentioned, “We collectively be future-ready to manage to leverage to make empowering connections for the betterment of not only us but for the community that we work in for the nation that community stays around and the world is getting bigger than ever.” Also talked about entrepreneurship, “As an entrepreneur, you should understand what you have in yourself and bring out that entrepreneurship.”
Following speaker Larry Harte, the Regional Executive Director of Global Chamber Cincinnati, has significant experience in private business, government entities, and non-profit organisations. He said, “The two most important days in a person’s life are the day you’re born and the day that you find out why.” He also said, “Be happy if you’re thinking about college and what you want to do after school or maybe you’re in school, and you’re thinking about the big world out there. You know, we only have one shot in this life, and it’s a journey.”
Afsara Ayesha is a Certified Professional Coach, Teamcoach International, Licensee of the International Association of Coaching (IAC®). She mentioned, “Coaching is a powerful technique of listening and questioning that enables you to gain awareness about yourself and identify where you want to be, where you are now, what options you have to move forward with your goal, and what actually needs to be done to move.” She added, “Coaching opens the route to personal and professional awareness and growth. With it, you’ll get support from coaches professionally in your quest for a better future.”
The next speaker, César Trabanco, Vice President at The Global Chamber, shared his career journey and advised the young generation to build a solid network to achieve success in their career. He mentioned, “Networking is definitely the key to starting a career.” One of César’s goals is to put Puerto Rico on the global business map and open more opportunities for the improvement of the economy.
The special speaker of the globinar, Doug Bruhnke, CEO/Founder of The Global Chamber®, mentioned in the event, “Women’s participation should be increased in the workplace worldwide.” He also added “The world is full of an immense amount of things to do and for those of us that have tasted global business, there’s no going back to the local.”
The final addition to this global group of mentors was Umana Anjalin, an Associate Professor of the School of Business at the University of Liberal Arts (ULAB) in Dhaka, Bangladesh. She said, “Radio and TV advertising has evolved into the show marketing techniques of selling goods and services, leveraging the digital channels like the social media search engines, emails, and websites to connect with prospects and existing customers.” She also added, “The event will open up the prospects for development of the young generation and the fresh graduates to aim higher, think innovatively, and connect globally.”
Similar opportunities are available for the next generation of leaders and young people to accomplish greater levels, innovate effectively, communicate internationally, and succeed in the future interconnected global corporate ecosystem. This event succeeded for multinational youths who want to succeed across their countries and further their careers by working together across borders.
With the participation of talented global speakers and almost 200 young participants joining from all over the world aiming for growing globally, Global Chamber Dhaka plans to organise similar successful events to engage global academia and industry.
