JCI Bangladesh’s Youth Leadership Conclave: The Role of Youth in Nation Building to be held on 24 March

Junior Chamber International is a Global Organization of young active citizens who are committed to create impact in their communities and thus engaged in activities to build a better tomorrow all around the world.  The organization gathers active citizens from all sectors of the society. JCI mission is “To provide development opportunities that empower young people to create positive change”.

Adhering its mission, JCI Bangladesh is going to organize “Youth Leadership Conclave: The Role of Youth in Nation Building” on 24th March, 2018, at La Vita Hall, Hotel Lakeshore, Gulshan-2, Dhaka.

Mustafa Jabbar, Honorable Minister, Ministry of Posts, Telecommunications & ICT of the Government of Bangladesh and Nasrul Hamid Bipu, MP, Honorable state minister, Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources of the Government of Bangladesh will be present at the program and share their inspiring speeches on in front of the audience.

Bangladesh is a land of opportunities and a country powered by people. Its young emerging population is the most potential resource that the country owns. The Youth Leadership Conclave was a daylong seminar, which aims at developing leadership skills in youth:  how they should lead themselves now and become effective leaders in the future to become active citizens and build a better Bangladesh.  More than 250 young individuals, mostly JCI members, emerging young professionals, young entrepreneurs, and university students from diverse background are expected to participate at the Youth Leadership Conclave from different parts of Bangladesh.

Distinguished and renowned experts from different fields, corporate icons, industry role models, front-runners of different associations and successful thought leaders of Bangladesh will share their knowledge, ideas and guidelines to the participants on technological advancement: opportunity and prospect in Bangladesh, future of entrepreneurship, the progress and future of Bangladesh as a nation and role of youth etc. through different sessions. The four major themes for this conclave are, ‘Next Generation Technology’, ‘Bangladesh-The Next Asian Tiger’, ‘Future of Entrepreneurship’ and ‘Change Begins with Me’. The sessions will inspire the youth to be action-oriented and future-focused in the role of nation-building.

At the program, Syed Almas Kabir, President of BASIS; Sonia Bashir Khan, MD of Microsoft Bangladesh; Ashish Chakraborty, Director of e-commerce Association of Bangladesh and Mostafizur Rahman Sohel, Director of BASIS will speak at the session called ‘Next Generation Technology’.

Similarly, Faisal Ahmed, Chief Economist of Bangladesh Bank; Shariful Islam Mohiuddin, President of FBCCI; Nihad Kabir, President of MCCI; Atiqul Islam, Former President of BGMEA will speak at the session titled ‘Bangladesh: the Next Asian Tiger’.

Ejaj Ahmed, President of BYLC; Sohana Rouf Chowdhury, Director of Rangs Group; Azeeza Khan, Director of Summit Group and Imran Karim, Vice Chairman of Confidence Group will speak at the session titled, ‘Future of Entrepreneurship’.

Marc Brian Lim, JCI President; Waqar A Choudhury, 2004 JCI VP; Nessar Maksud Khan, 2003 JCI VP; Data Magfur, 2006 JCI VP and Amzad Hussain, 2016 JCI VP will speak at the session, ‘Change begins with me’.

Fayaz Atiqul Islam, National President, JCI Bangladesh is going to host this inspiring program on behalf of National Governing Board and the members of JCI Bangladesh. The program’s convener will be Sarah Kamal, 2018 National Legal Counsel, JCI Bangladesh.
