Edimon Ginting appointed as the new ADB country head for Bangladesh
As the new country director for Bangladesh, Ginting will lead ADB’s operations in the country and policy dialogue with the government, development partners, and other stakeholders. He will oversee the implementation of ADB’s upcoming country partnership strategy for Bangladesh, 2021–2025, that focuses on rapid socio-economic recovery from the Covid-19 pandemic.

Fahim Ahmed appointed as the New CEO of Pathao
Pathao Limited appointed its chief financial officer, Fahim Ahmed, as Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer of the ride-sharing platform. Before Pathao, he was a managing director at SEAF, a global emerging market investment firm. He has also worked as an investor at the Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) and American Securities and as an investment banker at Goldman Sachs in New York.

 

 

Masihul Huq Chowdhury has been re-appointed managing director and CEO of Community Bank
Masihul started his career with American Express Bank in 1992 after obtaining a Master of Business Administration from the Institute of Business Administration (IBA), University of Dhaka. During his 30 years career, he worked for Standard Chartered, Citibank NA, IPDC and other leading financial institutions both in the country and overseas.

Md Mazibur Rahman appointed new DMD of Sonali Bank
In his 23-year banking career, he served as branch manager of different important branches in Mymensingh, Zonal head of Jamalpur, Cumilla and Mymensingh, divisional head of Cumilla and Rangpur and head of Agriculture and Rural Credit, Public Relations Division, General Credit, Marketing, Recovery Audit and Monitoring and Compliance Division of Bank’s head office.
