Augmenting Excellence

When asked about the key reasons behind the continual success of the company, Rizwan Quraishi asserts, “The key reasons behind holding the leading position for such a long time in a competitive market like Asia, are transparency, accountability & the practice of good governance in the company. This standard of merit is strictly enforced at every stage of the organisation, including the recruitment process. As a result, only potential and qualified people get the chance to work here.” He also asserted that when qualified people get the opportunity to work in a deserving place, the organisation inevitably pushes for improvement.

Vantage of Versatility

When it comes to academic qualifications, candidates with backgrounds in Civil, Electrical and Telecommunications Engineering generally get more opportunity to work with edotco because of the nature of the work they do. However, the company also recruits aspirants from other disciplines depending on the requirements of the organisation. “edotco believes in creating equal opportunities for all the candidates. In our recruitment process, talent and inventiveness of a candidate are more important than the experience. We make our staff skilled through relevant training and continuous practice at various stages based on the technical evaluation of their areas of improvement. It is a continuous process”, He adds while elaborating on the question of prioritising between talent and experience. The company also provides opportunities to their staff to train in various countries they operate in. In addition to Bangladesh, edotco operates in Malaysia, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, the Philippines and Cambodia, where a significant number of employees have worked under the mobility program of edotco. An opportunity which is set to increase in future.

Endorsing Inclusive Growth

edotco is determined to allow equal opportunity for everyone and stands against all forms of discrimination. Their role has been exemplary in establishing gender equality. Everyone at the company has an equal opportunity to reach the top position of the company with their talent and ability irrespective of their religion, caste and gender. edotco Group received the prestigious ‘Asia-Pacific Telecom Tower Company of the Year’ award in 2018 and 2019 respectively for its role and contribution in the telecommunication sector. Besides taking the industry forward, edotco is also providing the opportunity to young Bangladeshi talents to build their careers through various programs. These programs not only help the youth by raising their skill level but also deliver innovative products like the bamboo tower. edotco Bangladesh developed it with homegrown technology in collaboration with Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET). It is an affordable and environmentally sustainable substitute for the traditional steel structures that are in operation. Moreover, they have also introduced the ‘Camouflage Tower’, these towers are designed to make the towers appear as trees. Camouflage towers are intended to minimise the visual impact of gigantic steel structures.
Rizwan Quraishi concludes by emphasizing on the importance of being updated about the continual evolution of technology and the desire to innovate. “In addition, to being a diligent practitioner in the pursuit of new things, he/she also should have a mindset to adapt with the changing circumstances. Above all, there must be an unprecedented desire to make the modern technologies accessible to everyone at an easy and affordable price. Someone who has all the mentioned qualities, will shine in this sector easily.”
