A Participation agreement was signed between Bangladesh Bank and Shahjalal Islami Bank Ltd. on “Technology Development & Up-gradation Fund” on 11 October 2021 at the conference room of Sustainable Finance Department, Bangladesh Bank. Under this agreement, 11 activities / initiatives for modernization and technological development of export oriented industries will be provided in favour of customers for the re-investment in procurement of machineries and equipment / technology in 32 highest priority Sectors and special development sectors mentioned in Export Policy Order 2018-21. Khondkar Morshed Millat, the General Manager of Sustainable Finance Department from Bangladesh Bank and Mohammed Ashfaqul Hoque, FCA, FCS, EVP & Head of Sustainable Finance Unit from Shahjalal Islami Bank Limited signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organizations. Among others Chowdhury Liakat Ali, the Deputy General Manager, Sustainable Finance Department of Bangladesh Bank and other officials from the both the organization were present in the agreement signing ceremony.
