Singapore Airlines (SIA) is a premium service carrier dedicated to providing air transportation services of the highest quality to their passengers. With a commitment to fleet modernization, product and service innovation, and market leadership, SIA has evolved into one of the world’s most respected travel brands. Today, SIA is internationally recognized as the world’s leading airline and operates a modern passenger fleet of more than 110 aircraft. Its network covers more than 60 cities in more than 30 countries. SIA increased its frequency from Bangladesh to Singapore from seven to ten flights a week in July 2017. They will continually monitor the travel demand and adjust their flight capacity to meet the demands of the traveling public in Bangladesh.

The Skytrax World Airline Awards are based on direct feedback from customers, who have more airlines at their disposal to pick from in this highly competitive global environment. This win will enhance the booming airline’s global recognition. To ensure that SIA retains their competitive advantage they have to continue to improve upon the three main pillars of their brand promise – product leadership, service excellence, and network connectivity.

Bearing this in mind, SIA has partnered with Hotelbeds Groups, a global bed bank, to launch ‘Singapore Airlines Holidays’. This collaboration will enable SIA to employ Hotelbeds’ dynamic packaging platform. Leveraging the dynamic packaging platform, this provides customers with the added option of combining their flights with the land content of their choice through a package with the best value. This amenity will give customers the option to curate their own holiday packages, with a real-time selection of flights from SIA’s network plus more than 170,000 hotels. More than 24,000 transfer routes and 18,000 activities such as theme parks and museums from Hotelbeds will also be made available. To make the process smoother, Hotelbeds will set a team up in Singapore to promote the ‘Singapore Airlines Holiday’ product, and it will also be responsible for customer service, pricing, and product optimization.

On 22 September 2018, Singapore Airlines took delivery of the world’s first Airbus A350-900ULR (ultra-long-range) aircraft. It is the first of seven A350-900ULRs on firm order and will enter service on 11 October 2018 – and will operate the world’s longest commercial flight between Singapore and Newark Liberty International Airport. The Airline’s investment in the A350s is in keeping with its practice of maintaining a modern fleet of aircraft. The A350 is key to Singapore Airlines’ overall capacity growth and fleet renewal strategy. All the new aircraft entering their fleet is for both growths and to propel renewal purposes. The A350 has a higher fuel efficiency and higher operational reliability, thus improving operating economics. The A350 will enter the fleet at a time when some of the older B777-200 aircraft are being phased out, thus acting as a natural replacement for these aircraft. The A350 will cover 9000 nautical miles in an estimated 19 hours. The jet’s design can make the journey more comfortable and reduce jet-lag thanks to higher ceilings, larger windows, quieter cabins, and mood lighting.
