Qatar Airways has collaborated with premium fashion and style magazines – Vogue and GQ – to bring its passengers exclusive access to lifestyle and celebrity related content 35,000 feet up in the air. The Qatar national carrier already boasts of a fantastic entertainment system that offers over 4,000 in 30 different languages.

The award-winning airline’s Oryx One in-flight entertainment platform is the first airline to show feature episodes of short-form content from GQ and Vogue, the same as what is available on the digital of the two popular Condé Nast brands.

Vogue videos feature the glamour of the red carpet at the annual ‘Met Gala’, celebrity style and make-up tips in ‘Beauty Icons’, star-studded creative films in ‘Vogue Original Shorts’ and, filmed in a single shot, some of the world’s favorite personalities being challenged to a rapid-fire interview in ‘73 Questions’. The GQ channel offers style tips with ‘How to Do it Better’, exclusive interviews with Hollywood’s A-list in ‘GQ Men of the Year’, and the opportunity to watch celebrities go undercover on social media to answer real-life questions about themselves in the comedy series ‘Actually Me’.

Qatar Airways Senior Vice President Marketing and Corporate Communications, Ms. Salam Al Shawa, said: “The addition of these iconic brands to the Qatar Airways onboard experience is not only an industry first, it is further evidence of our commitment to continue innovating the passenger experience.

“Oryx One is unrivaled in its wide selection of movies, TV, games, and music, provided in more than 30 languages, and we will continue to update our collection every month to maintain a rich and extensive selection offering fresh and current content. We look forward to enriching passengers’ experience on board with this exciting new selection.”

Oryx One provides its guests with a range of 500 blockbuster movies, 1,300 episodes of TV programs, 1,000 audio channels and 50 games, with new content added each month. A dedicated family channel offers younger passengers a wide choice of the latest movies and age-appropriate TV content.

Qatar Airways was named ‘World’s Best Business Class’ by the 2018 World Airline Awards, managed by international air transport rating organization Skytrax. It was also named ‘Best Business Class Seat,’ ‘Best Airline in the Middle East’, and ‘World’s Best First Class Airline Lounge’.

Qatar Airways is one of the world’s fastest-growing airlines, with a modern fleet of more than 200 aircraft flying to business and leisure destinations across six continents. The award-winning airline recently revealed a host of upcoming new global destinations, including Gothenburg, Sweden; Mombasa, Kenya, and Da Nang, Vietnam.
