With a new smartphone releasing from a different brand every other month, buying a smartphone has become quite a complicated decision to make. Not only does it often require a significant budget, smartphones have become some of the most essential companions in our daily lives. So, after taking a dive into what people are searching for right now, here are the top 10 trending smartphones of June 2021.

01. Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro

The Redmi Note 10 Pro from Xiaomi is one of the hottest smartphones in the mid-range segment right now. The new Redmi Note 10 Pro is a great upgrade over its predecessors and is the first in the Redmi Note series to sport the 120 Hz OLED display It also comes with a splendid 108 MP camera, followed by the 8MP ultrawide snapper, a 5MP camera with tele macro lens, and finally, the 2MP depth sensor. Seated under the hood is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 732G processor along with an advanced GPU structure that is bound to be smooth sailing when it comes to multitasking, gaming and the likes.

The Redmi Note 10 Pro sure impresses with the quad-camera array, combined with the dedicated speakers, not to forget the juicy 5020mAh battery with 33W fast charger (in-box). The phone is an incredible proposition with all its specs combined, and of course, it looks great too.

02. Redmi Note 10

The standard Redmi Note 10 focuses on what’s important, and it’s also one of the better value propositions for most users, as it makes some sacrifices from its pro big brother while retaining most of the Redmi Note goodness. Even without the 120 Hz OLED panel and the 108MP main camera, the Redmi Note 10 has its own reasons to exist. It’s in a good price segmentation from Xiaomi with a very nice 48MP Quad Camera setup, an 8MP camera ultra-wide lens, two 2MP macro and depth sensors. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 678 processor gives an overall nice performance in gaming, streaming and connectivity, backed by a 5000mAh battery with 33W fast charging.

03. Asus Zenfone 8

The Zenfone 8 is all about a full-fledged flagship performance with a compact form factor – it packs the goodness of the super powerful Snapdragon 888 5G chip and a 5.9″ 120Hz AMOLED with a decent 4,000mAh battery, a flagship dual-camera that can take wide, ultrawide, 2x lossless zoom and macro photos. Did I mention that the Zenfone 8 is water-resistant as well?
While Asus comes in blazing the big guns, it doesn’t forget the nifty details that add to the flagship performance of the phone- a 3.55mm headphone jack with Qualcomm Aqstic DAC, stereo speakers that get plenty loud and even FM radio!

The cameras are impressive, focusing on quality over quantity. There are only two cameras on the back, but the 64MP main camera has OIS and 2x lossless zoom, and they deliver. Then there is the 12MP ultrawide shooter which acts as an all-rounder- Autofocus Enabled, with a large sensor which also takes great macro shots. Asus Zenfone 8 is power packed yet compact smartphone- a true flagship.

04. Poco X3 Pro

The legacy and spirit of the first Pocophone- the F1 continues to live vicariously with the new Poco X3 Pro. Poco X3 Pro is a champion in the value department, with the Snapdragon 860 chip that immediately makes it stand out from its competitors. The 120Hz 6.67″ IPS LCD screen, the stereo speakers, 5160mAh large battery with 33W fast charging, on top of the flagship-grade chipset SoC gives you a true Pro-formance.

Photos will come out looking great with the 48MP primary camera, and for those shooting those super wide shots, the 8MP ultrawide has got them covered. There’s also a 2MP macro camera to get really close and another 2MP depth sensor for portraits.

All this for the price segment, it becomes very evident why it’s trending right now.

05. Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G

If a super crisp 1440p screen and120Hz refresh rate does not turns eyeballs for the Galaxy S21 Ultra, the next bit might- this smartphone is the first of a non-Note Galaxy phone that comes with S-pen support! That being said, it is important to know that the smartphone does not actually have a native S-pen socket and it does not have a stylus in the box either, but it supports any S-pen in the market. For the cameras, a 40MP selfie camera punches neatly in the front while the back houses a 108MP wide angle main shooter, a 12MP ultra-wide camera and two 10MP telephoto cameras. Not to forget the 8K video shooting ability it possesses.

The combination of splendid performance, stunning cameras and an all-day battery life makes it hard to beat the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G.

06. Samsung Galaxy A12

Launched towards the end of 2020, it’s a bit surprising to see the Galaxy A12 still trending mid-2021. It needs to be said that while Samsung dominates the OLEDs in the Galaxy A series, they deviated from the course with a 6.5” LCD display on this smartphone, one of the features bargained on to fit the price segment. The performance processor from the Helio P35 falls short in the performance department but makes up for it with a 5000mAh battery, meaning the user is highly unlikely to reach for a charger throughout the day. The 16MP main camera and 5MP ultrawide sit very nicely at the back, combined with two 2MP shooters for depth and macro. The imaging department and long hours of use will not disappoint for those getting the Samsung Galaxy A12.

07. Samsung Galaxy A52 5G

With a legendary forerunner to outshine, this Samsung Galaxy brings its “A” game to the mix. A fingerprint sensor under the crisp and vivid Super AMOLED display, smooth scrolling thanks to the 120Hz refresh rate, a 64MP OIS enabled camera, a decent sized 4500mAh battery, 25W fast charging support and booming stereo speakers- Samsung Galaxy A52 5G nails the essentials. This is a great phone for power users, sourcing some of its power from the Snapdragon 720G processor too.

08. Samsung Galaxy A52

With the 5G version of the Samsung Galaxy A52 trending, it is no surprise to see its younger brother climb right underneath. A more budget friendly, vanilla Samsung Galaxy A52 is probably going to be the more practical choice for many. Still keeping a great AMOLED display, this galaxy refreshes at 90Hz instead of 120 which is still plenty snappy for most, the IP67 rating, 64MP Camera, 12MP wide-angle with two 5MP portrait and macro lenses complete the performance of this smartphone.

If flagship killer is still a thing, the Poco F3 is probably slaying the competition. Loaded with the most epic features, the glass sandwiched Poco F3 has one of the latest and greatest processors in the market right now- the Snapdragon 870 5G chip.

09. Samsung Galaxy A72

It’s not really surprising to see this many Samsung Galaxy A devices on this list this month, the company has seen major success with this series and for good reason. Speaking of the series, the Samsung Galaxy A72 is at the highest end of the A lineup at the time of writing this article. The A72 offers a 6.7-inch, 90Hz display, an extra 8MP telephoto camera and a slightly bigger 5000mAh battery. It is nearly identical to the Galaxy A52, even being overshadowed by it sometimes because the only edge it has over the former is the telephoto lens and it’s actually the more expensive of the two. Albeit trending this month, this might become the best phone not to buy.

10. POCO F3

If flagship killer is still a thing, the Poco F3 is probably slaying the competition. Loaded with the most epic features, the glass sandwiched Poco F3 has one of the latest and greatest processors in the market right now- the Snapdragon 870 5G chip. With not only an incredible processor in the body, but to have a 6.67″ AMOLED screen to go with it, the Poco F3 really takes the cake. Sure, the camera is one part Xiaomi decided to skimp on, but with the 48MP main shooter, the 8MP ultrawide shooter, and a 5MP macro enhanced with autofocus, it’s definitely not a shabby arrangement. The front camera definitely does brilliantly in the selfie department with the 20MP camera in front.

While Dolby Atmos enhances the sound from the stereo speakers, Poco F3 does leave out the headphone jack, microSD options and the built in FM radio- some features the Poco fans have grown to love and expect. However, these are definitely features that can be overlooked for that performance. The F3 definitely is a game changer in that regard.

With June’s trending list comprising almost entirely of Samsung and Xiaomi, it is a great lineup and appears to come from almost every segment of the smartphone market. The list is constantly being updated with new additions, but for June, these are the most searched for smartphones and are great choices to consider for anyone looking to make a purchase.
