The Honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina was recognized for her continuous work towards women’s empowerment. She was recognized as a “Planet 50-50 Champion” and given the “Agent of Change Award” by the Global Partnership Forum at the UN Headquarters. She stated, “I believe sustainable future of our planet is a shared responsibility of our women and men. We’ve arrived at a time in our history when gender quality is no longer an aspiration, but a real possibility everywhere.” She added that the implementation of Sustainable Development Goals will include gender equality at its core.
