Bangladesh German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BGCCI) hosted an Iftar Mahfil on 6 June 2018 to honor its member and to express its solidarity as a bilateral chamber. Industry Minister Alhaz Amir Hossain Amu, MP chaired this event as the Chief Guest. Chairman of National Board of Revenue Mosharraf Hossain Bhuiyan, NDC came joined the event as the Special Guest. BGCCI President Barrister Omar Sadat welcomed them along with other leading businessmen of the country.

Industry Minister thanked BGCCI for taking such kind of initiative and expressed his gratitude to all its member for their support to the current government to build Bangladesh’s economy even stronger every day. Emphasizing the relationship between Germany and Bangladesh the industries ministry boss said “Germany has been our friend since liberation. West Germany was the first country to recognize us among all the European countries. They have helped our economy by building a strong bondage with trade and investment. We are grateful and thankful to them.”

The minister also prioritized exchange of knowledge and technology in between two countries. “We want German technology to help our industries. Germany has a reputation for inventing cutting-edge world-class technology which is being used worldwide. We want their technologies to enrich our industries and our lives.”

Chairman of National Board of Revenue Mosharraf Hossain Bhuiyan, NDC expressed his gratitude to the members of BGCCI who are sharing their hard earned money in the form of TAX to help the Bangladesh government. He has praised the efforts of BGCCI for arranging such kind of gathering which encourages bonding among the likeminded business people.

BGCCI President Barrister Omar Sadat is hopeful that such initiatives taken by BGCCI will be helping the members understand the true meaning of solidarity. Thanking all the dignitaries and the attendees, he said “Ramadan is the month of blessings and sacrifice where people connect with each other. Considering the holy month of Ramadan I think that such gatherings provide excellent opportunities to increase the bondage between us as human beings. The unity of ours is the solution to many problems that we are facing in this world right now.”
