Telecom Trials and Tribulations

Once Bangladesh’s Telecom sector used to be the state monopoly. In 1980s, The Bangladesh Telegraph and Telephone Board (BTTB) used to be exclusively responsible for providing vertically integrated telecom services starting from international connectivity to end-user level connection.
