BEXIMCO’s fashion retail brand Yellow has created a new benchmark for design, quality and service in the market

As Bangladesh celebrates the 50th Anniversary of its independence, we have come a long way from being called a ‘Bottomless Basket’ to one of the fastest-growing economies in the world. Despite many prevailing challenges, the economic growth over the decade enabled us to graduate from the list of Least Developed Countries (LDCs) and start the new decade as a developing nation. A few crucial sectors have aided the consistent socio-economic development.
Contributing to more than 80% of Bangladesh’s export income, the apparel industry is the backbone of Bangladesh’s thriving economy. Unarguably, its impact has been crucial in facilitating the socio-economic development and gradual improvement of living standards in the country. Consequently, an increasing number of people in the country are leaning towards premium quality fashionable outfits. The rise of fashion retail is the embodiment of an affluent Bangladesh where the general population, especially the youth, are aware and intend to keep up with the latest fashion trends in the world.

Yellow collaborates with various research organisations to forecast new fashion trends successfully. On top of that, the brand routinely incorporates customer feedback in its design process to test new concepts.

For obvious reasons, Bangladesh’s garment manufacturers are well equipped with the retail know-how to facilitate international standard retail fashion brands. Consequently, the most prominent local retail brand in Bangladesh belongs to one of Bangladesh’s largest apparel exporters, BEXIMCO Textiles. BEXIMCO’s fashion retail brand Yellow has created a new benchmark for design, quality and service in the market.

The brand is the initiator of bringing a world-class shopping experience to the Bangladeshi fashion market. Yellow’s designs are primarily aimed at younger, fashion-aware customers who closely follow Asian and international fashion trends. Yellow has an international design team with fashion designers from different backgrounds, including Spain, USA, India and Pakistan. The team is well-versed in the new looks and cuts that are coming into trend and the manufacturing techniques required to produce them. Yellow’s innovative approach to fashion and aesthetics is at the core of its success.

It has been true to its promise of bringing a world-class shopping experience to the Bangladeshi fashion market. Currently, it operates 17 upscale outlets across Bangladesh.

It takes advantage of its parent BEXIMCO Textiles’ expertise in design, product development, and manufacturing. With the help of its international design team and the technical know-how to produce international standard clothes, Yellow quickly rose to the top of Bangladesh’s fashion retail landscape. Subsequently, Yellow collaborates with various research organisations to forecast new fashion trends successfully. On top of that, the brand routinely incorporates customer feedback in its design process to test new concepts.

Perhaps, the fact that differentiates Yellow is that the brand is constantly innovating to improve brand loyalty. The brand has introduced e-commerce, loyalty-based CRM (Customer Relationship Management) programs, customised merchandise, app-based inventory checking and digital marketing expansions in the Bangladeshi fashion industry. Lately, it initiated projects like Yellow Shop on the Move, the 1st Pop-Up Retail Store in South Asia.

Being the most innovative brand in Bangladesh, Yellow has represented creative style and true quality since its inception in 2004. It has been true to its promise of bringing a world-class shopping experience to the Bangladeshi fashion market. Currently, it operates 17 upscale outlets across Bangladesh.

Having won over the local market, Yellow is going beyond the borders and through its e-commerce and international partners like Walmart and Amazon. At the same time, the brand envisions expanding across the divisional level in Bangladesh.
