Shanta develops its projects in very selective and prime locations of Dhaka city. All of their projects are designed by the leading local as well as foreign consultants in order to ensure the most iconic designs, keeping the local cultural and local requirements in mind. Shanta is going to step into the next level of residential development, with a 420 unit gated community planned adjacent to Mirpur DOHS; their objective is to set an example of what a true, modern gated community should be. Details will be revealed in the upcoming months. Moreover, the ultimate luxury apartment – ‘The Regal’, is currently under construction at Road 84, Gulshan. This project spans 32 kathas of land and thus will be one of the larger and lavish residential developments in the North Gulshan zone. Shanta is all about looking into the future; they have several other noteworthy projects in the pipeline. Each of which will be an artistic addition to the progressive skyline of Dhaka.

Shanta sets itself apart with the objective of setting a new benchmark in luxury living with the best, safest and most functional designs in all of their projects. They have always strived for innovation; for instance, Shanta has introduced parking-free ground floor designs in residential buildings in Bangladesh. They believe the entry to your home should be full of elements such as an elegant reception lobby, beautiful landscaping, water features, and green lawns in order to create a welcoming experience. Attention to detail in every aspect of each and every project is how they aim to win the hearts of their clients. They embody the saying ‘home is where the heart is’.

Brick by Brick- The Making of a Real Estate Giant
Shanta Group started its journey in 1988 and became a forerunner in the RMG sector, by earning a solid reputation as a leading vendor for some of the most renowned apparel brands in the USA and Europe. However, Shanta Group simultaneously had a track record of construction since 1991 having been involved in various projects of its own and of the STS Group. It built the iconic Safura Tower at Banani, the International School Dhaka (ISD) at Bashundhara and the Delhi Public Schools in Uttara. Furthermore, the team was also involved in the construction of Apollo Hospitals Dhaka -the 550,000 square feet pioneer multi-disciplinary super-specialty hospital of the country.

Eventually in 2005, believing that construction is not just about building structures but an art, and with a challenge to go beyond the traditional scopes of property development, Shanta Holdings Ltd (initially Shanta Properties Ltd) was established. It started with and continues to change the lifestyle of city dwellers by providing modern, functional and aesthetic living and working spaces that can only be compared to the most successful developers in the globe. In essence, the founder’s passion for construction and his strong desire to change the style of living in Bangladesh, are what propelled Shanta’s exit from RMG and started its core focus in real estate development.

Since then the local real estate industry has evolved along with changing global trends. Owning a luxury apartment in 2018 is not only comparable to living in an independent house, but it provides the resident with a wide variety of lifestyle amenities at their disposal such as swimming pools, gyms, and party rooms as well as complete facility management services. These amenities enable the residents to enjoy their lifestyle to the utmost within their homes– comparable to the lifestyle of those in the developed world, where they get to make memories and harness true living, which this city challenges us to achieve otherwise.

First of Its Kind
‘Forum One’ – the first twin tower concept in the country, is currently under construction in Tejgaon. This project will comprise two interconnected 21-story commercial towers and will become an architectural landmark of Dhaka. Starting from the landscaping to the façade design of the building, the landmark is going to be the ultimate business center. It will be equipped with all modern functionalities notably building automation system, 6 high-speed elevators, advanced fire protection system, full power back-up, underground parking and will be a truly smart, green and efficient building in terms of design and build.

Dynamic Places and Digital Spaces
Behind the strong positive brand image of Shanta, there is a continuous effort by the team to stay on top of mind of the target customers. Their promotional activities are divided into two segments; corporate promotion and project-based promotion. TVC insertion in traditional media and movie theaters, press advertisements, magazine advertisements, on-site branding and digital communication are the major tools for Shanta’s corporate communication.

At Shanta, selling an apartment is selling a dream. To help their customers visualize that dream, Shanta provides them with various communication tools such as brochures, presentation floor plans, 3D images, animation videos, emailers, direct mailers and social media content. They also use press advertisements and digital media along with onsite branding for mass communication of individual projects. Taking things a step ahead, Shanta developed a virtual reality (VR) walk-through animation for selective projects, this has received tremendous appreciation from clients for its ability to present the project in an innovative and vivid way.

This dynamic combination of corporate and project-based promotional activities have aided in establishing and continue to strengthen the Shanta brand and eventually pursue its target group to invest in the most prestigious addresses of Dhaka.

Centre for Women and Child Health (CWCH)
CWCH was established with the objective to provide health care services to impoverished people and promote the overall development of women and children with emphasis on their health and nutrition. The center has research programs to identify the sufferings of women and children and suggest the government to address the same issues nationally to achieve the MDG set in terms of reducing child mortality and making other improvements. The center has been in operation since 2004, occupying a land area of 12 bighas with a current built-up area of approximately 30,000 square feet. It caters mainly to outpatient services 24 hours, 7 days a week. There are 35 beds, an operation theatre, and over 175 staff and 70 physicians of various specialties including a number of senior consultants. It serves about 18,000 to 20,000 patients every month and is also equipped with a modern diagnostic lab. The center has adopted a master plan to construct a 300-bed multi-care inpatient hospital, a Nursing College and also a Medical College. The first phase of the expansion is already in progress and the center hopes to commence full operations in the near future.
