The highly anticipated Berger Presents Rise Above All 2024, powered by Grameenphone and in association with Prothom Alo, took place on November 16, 2024, at the KIB Complex, Dhaka. With an exceptional turnout of over 3,500 attendees, this year’s event reaffirmed its position as the nation’s largest and most influential platform for personal and professional growth. Organized by Don Sumdany Facilitation & Consultancy, the 8th edition brought together thought leaders, entrepreneurs, and industry experts to inspire the audience to rise above challenges and seize opportunities.

This year’s edition featured an impressive lineup of speakers and innovators, each offering unique insights and thought-provoking discussions. From inspirational keynotes to live podcasts, career sessions, and exclusive performances, the event delivered a transformative experience that left a lasting impact on all attendees.

The Legendary Duo Session, where Yasir Azman (CEO, Grameenphone) and Shehzad Munim (Former MD, BATB) shared their journey of leadership in multinational corporations and discussed their experiences navigating challenges in the business world, was one of the highlights of the event, and the crowd truly appreciated it.

Special sessions also featured Shark Tank Bangladesh Live, where industry experts such as Nazim Farhan Chowdhury (Adcomm Holding Group), Sausan Khan Moyeen (Enchanted Events), and Golam Murshed (Majesto Limited) evaluated and expressed interest in investments in both innovative business ideas presented by budding entrepreneurs.

Business Sustainability in Media was a key topic discussed by Jabed Sultan Pias, Chief Digital Business Officer at Prothom Alo, and Md Tajdin Hassan, Chief Business Officer at The Daily Star. The two experts shared valuable insights into the evolving landscape of digital content, emphasizing that “Content is King” as one of their main concerns for sustainable growth in the media industry.

Another crowd favorite was the live session of 2 Cents Podcast, featuring Nafees Salim and Sazzad Bin Ahsan Sourav, who engaged the audience with humor, stories, and valuable life lessons.

The event was not only about learning—it also offered entertainment that kept the energy high throughout the day. Zainab Maqsood, Founder and MD of AMIRÁ, shared the story of creating the sophisticated brand AMIRÁ.

Actress Oishee engaged with her fans by answering three questions from social media, providing personal insights and connecting with her audience. Meanwhile, actress Safa Kabir led an inspiring session, emphasizing that success relies on hard work and dedication.

The showstopper Salman Muqtadir took center stage for an interactive session with the audience, answering their questions and engaging with them in an insightful conversation.

Finally, the musical performance by Minar Rahman and his band delivered an unforgettable close to the event, leaving everyone with uplifting tunes and a sense of inspiration. Minar also shared some of his cartoon creations, describing their backstories and adding a unique personal touch to the performance.
