Bank Asia appoints new director

Tania Nusrat has been appointed as the new director of Bank Asia. She began her professional career in 1987 with UNDP with stints in policy and programming in New York, Nepal and Vietnam, following which she joined the International Health Policy Programme in the World Bank at Washington DC. Nusrat also took on managerial and technical roles in Brac, Future Generations, HLSP Consulting Inc, the Netherlands embassy, Nirapon Inc. and Plan International in Bangladesh and the US between 2001 and 2021. Currently she is a director of General Advisory Services and works as a management consultant on human resources, safety and youth issues.

Pubali Bank appoints Saiful Alam Khan Chowdhury as MD and CEO

Pubali Bank has appointed Safiul Alam Khan Chowdhury as the managing director and chief executive officer of the bank. Prior to getting promoted, he had been serving as an additional managing director at the bank since January 2016. Saiful joined Pubali Bank in 1983 as a probationary senior officer through the bankers’ recruitment committee of the Bangladesh Bank. During his tenure in the bank, he has also held the positions of  the head of the credit committee of the head office, general manager of various divisions, the head of corporate branches, the head of Dhaka North region and deputy managing director at the bank.

Pulse Healthcare appoints Matin as CEO

Mohammad Abdul Matin has been appointed as the chief executive officer of Pulse Healthcare Services, a cloud-based telemedicine platform that enables doctors to provide virtual consultancy to patients through voice and video calls. He has over twenty five years of experience with many large corporations and startups. He was the founder of Doctorola.com, the first online healthcare services platform in the country and a member of the Trustee Board at Biomedical Research Foundation. Matin is also an adjunct faculty at the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh (ICAB).

Premier Bank reappoints Reazul as MD and CEO

Premier Bank has reappointed M Reazul Karim as the managing director and CEO for the upcoming three-year term. Reazul has been serving in this position since April 2018. He began his banking career at National Bank in 1984. Before joining Premier Bank, he was serving as an additional managing director at Prime Bank. Reazul is also a fellow cost and management accountant of the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh.
