National Convention, 2017 of JCI Bangladesh has been held on Thursday, 28th December, 2017 at Grand Ballroom, Radisson Blu Dhaka Water Garden. This is one of the most prominent and prestigious yearly programs of JCI Bangladesh.
The National Governing body , 2017 recognized and announced the newly elected National Governing body of 2018 in front of around 14 Local chapter presidents, NGB members, Past National Presidents, Advisory Council, General Members of JCI Bangladesh, distinguished dignitaries and guests. All the audience acknowledged the new board with huge applauds in the colorful and fun-filled environment.
Mr Ahmed Ahsfaqur Rahman, National President, JCI Bangladesh gave his welcome speech and shared 2017’s exciting journey and milestone achievement record by JCI Bangladesh in front of audience. Besides, the award giving ceremony has been conducted where best performers of 2017 from Local and National Level were given token of appreciation for their dedication and contribution.
Mr Md. Ziaul Haque Bhuiyan from JCI Dhaka West was awarded as the 2017 Best Local President and Mr Abdullah Safi from the same chapter was awarded as the 2017 Best Local Officer. Additionally, ‘Embrace the Difference’ of JCI Dhaka West, “Legal Aid Camp’ of JCI Dhaka Cosmopolitan & ‘Rono’ of JCI Dhaka Central won the 2017 Best Project Awards.
Mr Parvez Ibne Latif from JCI Dhaka North won the 2017 Best Local Member Award and Imran Kadir from the same chapter won the 2017 Best New Member Award. Furthermore, Ms Samiha Akhter from JCI Dhaka West won the 2017 JCI Bangladesh Public Speaking Championship. Mr Mehedi Hossain, Mr Shaan Farabee and Ms Samiha Akhter from JCI Dhaka West also won the 2017 JCI Bangladesh Debating Championship. Lastly, 5 chapters won the 100% efficiency awards and JCI Dhaka West achieved 125 out of 100 points which was the highest of this year.
The program’s main attraction was Presidential Chain Handover from 2017 National President Mr. Ahmed Ahsfaqur Rahman to 2018 National President Elect Mr. Fayaz Atiqul Islam. The 2018 National President has shared his mandate and the plan of action for 2018’s JCI Bangladesh and shared his words of wisdom which inspired members to re-energize and give their best in 2018 at their highest potential.
The National Event Committee Chair, Mr. Arman Ahmed Khan had been the convener of the program. The program was wonderfully hosted by Mr. Erfan Haque, Ms. Sarah Kamal & Ms. Rebeka Sultana Binti. The platinum sponsor of the program was CLEAR MEN and ICE BUSINESS TIMES was the creative partner.
The event ended up with dinner program and all the members’ presence made the program very glamorous and colorful.
